Ed is currently the leader of the Labour party and fits our theme of “Aiming High” perfectly as he strives to inspire our business audience on the night.
Kavita Oberoi is one of the UK\'s most successful female entrepreneurs. Kavita is the founder and Managing Director of an extremely successful IT and Business Healthcare Consultancy, Oberoi Consulting. She grew up in Bradford and was inspired by her father’s entrepreneurial spirit which led her to start up her business from scratch in 2001.

Being an Asian female entrepreneur, I am keen to highlight how I have aimed high in my career and hope to inspire Asian Businesses on the night especially as this is one ABDN’s key objectives. It is fantastic to see that Yorkshire businesses have a support network like ABDN to positively influence them in what is a very tough climate. I am also looking forward to personally speaking to business owners to understand their challenges and how they have overcome what's been a very turbulent climate recently."
Already well known in Derbyshire, where her business is based, Kavita came to receive wider public attention in August 2008 when she appeared on Channel 4\'s hit show The Secret Millionaire. Kavita was also named in the HBOS report as one of ‘Britain’s 100 Most Entrepreneurial Women’.
In January 2010 Kavita became co-owner of the global, award winning security company, Octavian, which employs over 500 personnel. Kavita\'s latest business venture is Adherence Science of which she is a shareholder and Director, this business focuses on supporting patient compliance to medication through the use of mobile phones.
