Muslim, Sikh and Hindu women from across Leeds met together at the Hindu Community Centre in West Leeds with the assistance of ABDN. With over 25 women attending the interactive business workshop, Natasha, the workshop leader said she was pleased how much the women attending knew about business.
She provided them with the support and information they needed to get them started. We received positive feedback from the attendees, who praised the workshop as useful, encouraging and informative. The workshop aimed to encourage Asian women to think laterally about business, something they never had a chance to do beforehand. The workshops main focus was how to conquer stereotypes and overcome traditional barriers to business, such as the glass ceiling effect. |
