ABDN joined forces with Bradford based law firm Gordons LLP and Bradford City Council to set up the first in a series of quarterly business roundtables to promote the City of Bradford as a place to do business to generate economic growth opportunities.
The first roundtable was attended by 35 business leaders who discussed the theme ‘Bradford – the place to do business’ to provide a focus for Bradford’s. Asian business community to create commercial opportunities and jobs.
The inaugural event was also attended by Bradford Council Chief Executive Tony Reeves and representatives from Yorkshire Forward, Business Link Yorkshire and Yorkshire Cricket Club. Many important issues were identified and a detailed action plan has been developed to increase the skills of young people, help businesses diversify and to upgrade entrepreneurial skills that can help unlock the potential in Bradford. Arshad Chaudhry, chairman of the ABDN, said: “Our partnership with Gordons and Bradford Council will help raise the profile of Asian businesses within the city and generate commercial opportunities”. |
