December 2009 Workshop & Networking Dinner

This was the first event held since ABDN’s South Yorkshire launch. The Practical Marketing Workshop held in Doncaster was delivered by Victoria Tomlinson Chief executive of Northern Lights PR. The workshop proved to be a success with around 10 attendees who all left with better knowledge concerning marketing skills including understanding your customers and promotion of business products and services. The workshop focused on business customers, identifying and reaching them as well as what approach to take on promotion and business strategy.

The workshop was further followed up by a networking evening dinner which attracted 25-30 individuals with some coming from as far as Scunthorpe. This dinner helped contribute to ABDNs ‘Breaking Barriers’ theme with BME individuals exploring new opportunities to meet and liaise with others from an array of different companies to create new business links, discuss business ideas and take to take the opportunity to get themselves and their company known.
