Chairman and Founder of ABDN, Arshad Chaudhry passed away on the 31st October 2011 at 8pm, battling one of the most aggressive form of cancers, multiple myeloma. Arshad was diagnosed with the condition 11 years ago, and suffered a long and arduous battle against the disease, working tirelessly on ABDN activities throughout.
Since the inception of ABDN, Arshad worked in conjunction with Gurdev S Dahele MBE, to create the UK's first ethnic minority network, and bring in businesses from around the country and assisting them in business support activities.
Arshad had created a network consisting of some of the largest names in business, from Jaguar to PriceWaterhouse, always pushing beyond the realms of business support networks, and bringing ABDN to the fore of business in the region. He made various appearances on BBC Radio, Sky News, and Channel 4 and was well known in the community as a business leader and entrepreneur.
Arshads vision was to take ABDN around the UK and giving business a viable support network. We hope to continue his hard work and maintain his legacy.
