Amar Latif’s life story is one of overcoming life’s challenges and rising to heights of success throughout his varied and enterprising career. Amar is a man who provides inspiration to any person wishing to confront personal and social barriers to achievement and make their mark on the world.

By the age of twenty, Amar had lost about 95% of his eyesight. Despite this setback, Amar has overcome all the odds and has established ‘Traveleyes’, the world’s first commercial international air tour operator to specialise in serving blind as well as sighted travellers.

Amar was presented with the award ‘Outstanding Young Business Entrepreneur of the World’, by the Chamber of Commerce, International (JCI), at their World Congress in Vienna. He recently also received the ‘Stelios Disabled Entrepreneur Award’.

As a result of his sheer bravery and courage in life, Amar has managed to both direct and star in television productions for Channel 4 and the BBC. As part of the BBC2 four-part series ‘Beyond Boundaries’, Amar partook in a 220 mile trek across Nicaragua from the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific.

In addition to his abundant successes in business and media production, Amar has turned his hand to a variety of charity works – his charitable works range from abseiling down the side of public buildings to giving inspirational speeches to communities which are challenged by social and economic ailments.

Amar is a perfect example of an astute, determined and confident entrepreneur who has proved himself able to rise to a multitude of challenges in life. He is an utter pioneer and his successes across a wide range of sectors and areas of life show he is a fine exemplar of achievement for us.
