Anna Rayner’s story is one of victory over and above the odds. Anna has managed to overcome the ailments of anxiety-related illness and depression, and has achieved the fulfilment of her dreams after suffering for so many years.

Anna set about engaging in alternative therapies to help her with the illness which had incapacitated her for so many years. These included Reiki, meditation, and healing. Anna responded well to the therapies which she had embarked upon.

In her efforts to get back into work, she was pointed in the direction of the Pathways to Work scheme. Their staff encouraged Anna to identify what interested her and with their help she realised that she would like to work in the very field which had benefitted her so much - Complementary and Alternative Therapies.

Just over a year on from that, Anna had established herself as a qualified Reiki practitioner and was embarking on further training in various alternative therapy fields. She now runs her own business “Ray of Light” located at the Milun Centre, Harehills.

Anna now successfully manages and directs the business and still partakes in charity and not-for-profit work aimed at helping people suffering from similar predicaments. She is truly a demonstration of how obstacles to success can be overcome with perseverance.
